Hit the ground running on our first day in the UK. We arrived around 5.30am and were picked up from the airport by Uncle Alan. After driving us back to Wroughton and feeding us he then drove us off to see some of the sites of Wiltshire.

Things I notice that have changed
No smoking
Lots less talking and reading - everyone has their own video screen with a choice of things to watch
Hot towels delivered with tongs
Cold - I'm sure the air conditioning wasn't cranked up that high in the past
Thing that haven't
The coffee
The feeling your body gets after trying to sleep whilst sitting up crammed into a small space

After weeks of ever-increasing chaos - researching, organising, list-making and checking we're off on our eight week odyssey.
First stop is Brisbane for our dear old friend's 40th on Saturday night. Then, on Monday afternoon we hop on a plane and we're off. After a short stop in Singapore we'll be arriving in London for the first leg of the trip.
